Ministry Team Descriptions and Leaders
Our Ministry Teams are designed to involve each member of the church in meanigful service. This benefits the individual as as the entire congregation. It is based on the instruction of Ephesians 4:11-13 that teaches that each Christian is to be involved in works of service in order to build up the body of Christ.
Baptism Ministry
The Baptism Ministry is responsible for the regular care and maintenance of the baptistery, baptismal robes, towels, and other items. It provides assistance to those being baptized by helping with robes, towels, etc. and by helping them to and from the baptistery.

Benevolence (Minister and the Elders)
The Benevolence Ministry is responsible for providing assistance to individuals or families in need. This may involve a variety of services to help with many different types of needs.

Christian Education
The Christian Education Ministry oversees the children's educational program from the nursery to through high school. It is responsible for the Sunday School classes, Junior Church program, and Vacation Bible School. This includes selecting curriculum material as well as recruiting and training teachers and helpers.

Communion (Joe Bryan)
The Communion Ministry is responsible for scheduling servers for the worship services, preparing communion for all appropriate services, baking of communion bread, and cleaning up of communion supplies and equipment following the services.

Evangelism
The Evangelism Ministry is responsible for planning and carrying out programs and events to reach the lost for Christ. It encourages the congregation to be witnesses by example and training opportunities. It contacts visitors and others who have expressed interest in becoming a Christian.

Facilities (Bill Courtney)
The Facilities Ministry is repsonsible for the care and maintenance of the interior of the buldling, the exterior of the building, the parking lot and the driveway, and the landscaping. It insures that necessary repairs are performed. It makes recommendations regarding needed improvements.

Fellowship
The Fellowship Ministry is responsible for planning fellowship opportunities for the congregation. It plans activities on a regular basis. It sets up and cleans up for dinners. It maintains plates, cups and other supplies on hand.

Finance (Ray Hoverman)
The Finance Ministry is responsible for overseeing the financial records of the church. It ensures that each ministry team is staying within its budget. It audits the church's financial records each year. It distributes offering envelopes to all who desire them.

Involvement   (Jim Williams)
The Involvement Ministry is responsible for encouraging church members to be active in service through at least one of the active ministry teams. It finds ways to help people make a meaningful contribution to the ministry of the church.

Library
The Library Ministry is responsible for setting up and maintaining the library. This involves organizing the books, tapes, and videos, setting up a lending system, and purchasing new materials. It promotes the library to the congregation. It seeks the approval of the elders and/or minister for all new materials.

Missions (Ray Hoverman)
The Mission Ministry is responsible for selecting which missions the church will support and maintains contact with the missionaries. It disburses the Faith Promise funds and plans the Faith Promise program each year.

Pastoral
The Pastoral Ministry is responsible for caring for the various spiritual needs of the congregation. This includes making contact with members, especially the elderly and widows. It contacts those who have not been in attendance for a period of time. It assesses the needs of the congregation and develops programs and services to help meet them.

Prayer   (Shannon Dillon)
The Prayer Ministry is responsible for encouraging the church to grow in its prayer life. This is done through organizing the Prayer Chain, providing various prayer emphasis opportunities such as prayer breakfasts, and developing new programs to teach and practice principles of prayer.

Recreation (Jeremy Herr)
The Recreation Ministry organizes and oversees the recreational activities of the church. This includes the softball and other teams, both for young people and adults. It seeks to provide a variety of recreational activities for the purpose of fellowship and outreach.

Encouragement
The Senior Citizens Ministry is responsible for providing services and activities to involve and minister to the needs of the older members of the church. It plans fellowship opportunities, Bible study groups, outings, and other activities.

Welcoming
The Welcoming Ministry oversees the valet parking staff and scheduling of the greeters. It is responsible for recruiting people to server in these capacities. It is responsible for providing informational material to guests, distributing bulletins, and making everyone feel welcome.

Worship
The Worship Ministry is responsible for planning and carrying out the worship services. This includes the Praise Team, instrumentalists, sound, lighting, and projection people, and the tape ministry.  It makes recommendations to the elders regarding the needs of the worship program.

Youth
The Youth Ministry is responsible for the direction of the youth program. It analyzes the needs of the various groups and provides curriculum material for each of the groups. It recruits and trains sponsors. It schedules various youth outings and activities. It makes recommendations to the elders regarding the needs of the youth program.
